Blue Bird, A Taxi Company Owned By The Conglomerate Purnomo Prawiro Vaccinates All Its Drivers In Jabodetabek

JAKARTA - Transportation provider Blue Bird Group has completed the final phase of COVID-19 vaccination aimed at all drivers and employees in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.

Vaccination was conducted by the conglomerate Purnomo Prawiro in Blue Bird Pool Cijantung-East Jakarta from May 18-21, 2021, following the completion of vaccinations in the area of Bali, Lombok, and Bandung last April.

"We are very grateful because the acceptance of vaccines is an appreciation for the company's important role as the vanguard of serving the daily needs of the community", said Blue Bird General Manager Dicky Wirawan in a written statement quoted from Antara, Friday, May 21.

Blue Bird Group's large family vaccination is supported by the cooperation between Blue Bird Group and the Ministry of Health, DKI Jakarta Health Office, and various related agencies since the beginning of March 2021.

In the cooperation, Blue Bird Group also successfully conducted mass vaccinations for the elderly in Jabodetabek area, as a contribution of the company in supporting government programs.

"Despite being 100 percent vaccinated, Blue Bird Group drivers and employees will continue to maintain strict health protocols so that the spread of the virus can be resolved more quickly", he added.

The transportation company's holding also places the implementation of health protocols as one of the top priorities for the safety and comfort of all parties, especially for customers.

With systematic and controlled supervision through each pool, the company ensures a special SOP is implemented in tackling the spread of COVID-19, ranging from a thorough cleaning of the fleet every finished operation, ensuring the drivers operating are in a fit condition, to the provision of alcohol-based hand sanitizer in each vehicle that provides protection and tranquility to passengers and drivers.

In addition to Jabodetabek, Bali, Lombok and Bandung, Bluebird Group vaccination has also covered several other cities such as Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru, Padang, Pangkal Pinang and Surabaya.

The vaccination program is targeted to continue and reach 100 percent in other cities in the near future so as to accelerate the response of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
