PKPU Status Revoked, MMP Affirms National Nickel Downstream Commitment

JAKARTA - On October 29, 2025, the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court issued Decision No. 248/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2025/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst which officially revoked the status of Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) for PT Mitra Murni Perkasa (MMP). Thus, legally the MPP is no longer in the PKPU process.

The revocation of PKPU status confirms that the PKPU application is not based on the MMP's financial inability to pay its obligations, as well as to show creditors' trust in the company's business and financial fundamentals. In this revocation process, the majority of creditors, both concurrent and separatist, expressed support for the revocation of PKPU status.

PKPU's application to MMP was previously submitted by two contractors, PT Solusi Industri Energi and PT Persada Engineering & Contracting, which are basically related to the work disputes carried out by the two contractors which resulted in differences in the calculation of the bill value and the completeness of bill support documents.

The dispute is administrative and technical in nature, which based on the contract should be resolved through mediation and arbitration mechanisms, not through the PKPU process. Thus, the request has nothing to do with the MMP financial capacity.

MMP Finance Director, Achmad Zuhraidi, emphasized the company's commitment to continue to maintain good relations with all partners in a professional manner based on the principle of fairness.

"This decision confirms that the MMP has good financial planning and capabilities to carry out the completion of nickel smelter development and is able to carry out all corporate obligations and project operations in a sustainable manner. We uphold the principles of a professional partnership and have good intentions in resolving each difference according to the agreed mechanism," said Achmad Zuhraidi, in his statement, Monday, November 10.

The MMP continues to carry out its operations with strong and sustainability-oriented governance principles. In addition to building strategic industrial facilities, the MMP also plays an active role in empowering national labor, by absorbing up to 1,000 local workers equipped with green operator training as part of the development of local human resource capacity.

The presence of the MMP nickel smelter is a tangible manifestation of the company's contribution to the national nickel downstream program which is in line with the government's agenda. MMP is committed to continuing to support the continued increase in the added value of domestic resources and strengthen the electric vehicle battery supply chain ecosystem, as part of efforts to build the future of the global competitive Indonesian nickel industry.
