Roma Vs Udinese: Giallorossi Consistency Test At Olimpico
JAKARTA - AS Roma will try to keep their distance from Scudetto competitors when they host Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night 9 November. Gian Piero Gasperini's team has just risen from defeat to AC Milan with a convincing victory over Rangers in the Europa League, while Udinese came with high confidence after breaking Atalanta's unbeaten record.
At the top of the Serie A standings with defending champions Napoli, Roma have won seven out of ten league games under Gasperini's command. This impressive start is the best for the Giallorossi in the last eight years.
However, last weekend Roma had to swallow a narrow 0-1 defeat at the San Siro. Paulo Dybala missed a penalty for the first time in four years after previously recording 18 successes in a row.

Although their goal productivity was still low on average, only one goal per game Roma remained on the positive track in the domestic league. On the European stage, a 2-0 win over Rangers in Glasgow was a sweet gift for Gasperini who had just celebrated the 900th match in his coaching career.
Now that Roma is focused on turning to Udinese, a tough team that has only lost three defeats so far this season.
However, history sided with Roma. Udinese lost 14 of his last 16 trips to the Olimpico, including five consecutive defeats in all competitions, and conceded at least two goals.
However, Kosta Runjaic's men have shown significant performance improvements this season. Udinese has penetrated the center of the standings despite having conceded 15 goals, three times more than Roma's defensive record.
Striker Nicolo Zaniolo, a former Roma player, stole last week's attention after scoring a winning goal against Atalanta. Now he will return to the city that made his name, although the warm welcome does not appear to be given by the public at the Olimpico.
In this match, Roma still lost Evan Ferguson and Paulo Dybala to injury, while Leon Bailey and Angelino were also not available. Even so, young Matias Soule is predicted to return to being a mainstay after performing brilliantly in the Europa League.
Gasperini kemungkinan tetap mempercayakan lini depan kepada Artem Dovbyk, yang mencetak gol di dua pertemuan terakhir melawan Udinese musim lalu.
In the visitors' camp, Keinan Davis was doubtful, so Adam Buksa and Vakoun Bayo competed to accompany Zaniolo in attack. Meanwhile, defender Thomas Kristensen is still absent due to a thigh injury.
Roma tend to lose points against big teams, but always appear solid against opponents from the middle board. Udinese could be a tough opponent, but with a strong defense and positive momentum in Europe, the Giallorossi is believed to be able to achieve a narrow victory before the international break.
