M02 Angkot Driver Denies Prohibition Of TransJakarta Route JAK41

JAKARTA - The chairman of the M02 Angkot Owners and Driver Association on the Kampung Melayu - Pulo Gadung route, Ilham, denied any acts of blocking or closing the road to the Transjakarta Microtrans service route JAK41 (Pulogadung Kampung Melayu).

He emphasized that the M02 drivers only asked Transjakarta to respect the mutual agreement on October 13, 2025, which regulates the JAK41 Microtrans operation route so as not to overlap with the regular angkot route.

"We are not closing the road, we invite you to pass, according to the agreement on the 13th. We already have a mutual agreement," said Ilham when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Ilham explained that the agreement was made through the results of a joint survey between representatives of the M02 driver, Transjakarta, the DKI Transportation Service, and the East Jakarta Transportation Agency.

The agreement was made after a joint survey. At that time there were representatives from the Transportation Agency, Transjakarta, and our cooperatives. So everything has been agreed on the route," he said.

According to Ilham, the demands of the drivers are not to reject the Jaklingko program, but to ask for adjustments so that the JAK41 route is not exactly 100 percent equal to the M02 transportation route which has been operating for a long time.

"In fact, our complaints are because the route is exactly the same, 100 percent. We just ask for a little difference. Because this route has existed since 1970," said Ilham.

He emphasized that the M02 drivers took an official communication route and did not act anarchically.

"We don't want to be anarchist. We have reported it to the Police, to the Transportation Agency, according to the mechanism. We only direct Transjakarta to go according to the agreement on the 13th," he said.

Ilham also regretted the lack of communication from Transjakarta management in following up on the agreement.

"Communication with the leadership of Transjakarta does not exist. Only employees in the field can't make decisions. So now we are waiting for clarity," he said.

Furthermore, Ilham urged the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately issue a modified SK for the JAK41 route in accordance with the results of the mutual agreement.

"We hope that a modified J41 route decree will be issued soon, in accordance with the agreement on October 13, 2025," he concluded.

Previously, the operation of the Transjakarta Microtrans service route JAK41 (Pulogadung Kampung Melayu) had stopped since Saturday, November 1, 2025 afternoon, following the ambush and closure of the route on Jalan Persahabatan Raya, East Jakarta.

The action was carried out by a number of drivers of the regular M02 transport who objected to the operation of the Microtrans service on the route.

Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta), Ayu Wardhani, said the temporary suspension was carried out to avoid potential security disturbances and ensure the safety of customers and officers in the field.

"This temporary suspension is caused by the blocking and closing of lanes by unscrupulous M02 regular transport drivers. We take this decision to maintain the safety of customers and officers," he said.
