East Java National Narcotics Agency Arrest 2 Drug Couriers, Seize 4 Kg Of Methamphetamine

SURABAYA - East Java National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested two couriers of methamphetamine with the initials AR (32) and BS (26). Both were arrested at the Exit of Waru Gunung Toll Road, Karang Pilang District, Surabaya, while trying to send methamphetamine to Bangkalan, Madura.

The two suspects had previously departed from Jakarta in a Toyota Avanza F 1030 GT. At the toll exit, BNN of East Java officers searched the two men including the car.

During the search, officers found 4 packs of methamphetamine-type narcotics weighing 4 kilograms (kg) wrapped in white plastic.

The crystalline powder was put in a red creak bag and put in a goody bag. To trick the officer, the meth was covered in clothing and put again in a pink cloth bag.

"Suspect AR took meth from his friend HS, whom he knew while serving his sentence at Cipinang Prison", Head of BNN East Java, Brig. Gen. Muhammad Aris Purnomo, Thursday, May 20.

Suspect AR, he said, admitted to getting the order of meth from his friend FZ, who was in Bangkalan, Madura. Suspect AR admitted that he had previously made a shipment of methamphetamine to FZ from Jakarta to Madura.

In one shipment, AR gets a wage of IDR 20 million. "But for the second delivery has not been given wages because caught officers", said Aris.

After getting the order of methamphetamine, suspect AR then told CM to take the illicit goods to HS Kemayoran Street, Central Jakarta. After getting meth, AR and CM set out together to send to Bangkalan Madura.

"But not until the destination has been caught by officers at the Exit Waru Gunung Toll Gate. The suspect and his evidence were taken and secured by officers for further investigation", Aris said.

Both suspects are ensnared article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 paragraph (1) Law No. 35 years 2009 on Narcotics.
