Without This, Putin-Trump's Plan To Meet In Hungary Is Canceled

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said plans for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have taken place without an inter-official meeting between diplomat officials of the two countries.

Peskov revealed plans for the meeting of the two heads of state will be discussed in detail by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio.

"First, they will have a telephone conversation and meet, and discuss the topic, and start discussing all the problems," he said at a press conference, Friday, October 17, quoted from Tass.

After that, officials from the Russian-US Foreign Ministry will determine a new negotiating team after agreeing that Trump-Putin's plans will be realized.

"There are many problems that need to determine the negotiating team. Everything will be done in stages," Peskov said.

Previously reported, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin communicated by telephone. In the communication, the two agreed to meet in Hungary in two weeks.

Axios on Friday 17 October reported that news of the planned meeting shocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had just arrived in US Washington on Thursday afternoon.

Zelenskyy's arrival in the US to meet with Trump discussed the US President's willingness to supply Tomahawk's long-range missiles to Ukraine.
