Trump Mediated 'peacemaker', Now Israel-Hamas Accuse Each Other Of Ceasefire Violations

JAKARTA - Gaza's ceasefire does not seem to have gone smoothly. Israel and Hamas are now accusing each other of violating the Gaza ceasefire mediated by US President Donald Trump.

In the midst of this complicated situation, Israel is preparing to reopen Rafah's crossing of Gaza with Egypt to accept and accept Palestinians, but does not set an exact date.

Disputes over the return of the hostages detained by Hamas in Gaza have the potential to disrupt the ceasefire as well as other important unresolved plans, including the removal of militant weapons and Gaza's future governance.

Israel demands Hamas fulfill its obligation to hand over the bodies of 28 hostages who died during the war that has not been found.

The Islamist faction said it had handed over 10 bodies, but Israel said one of them was not the hostage's body.

Hamas' armed wing said the surrender of more bodies in Gaza would require the entry of heavy equipment and excavation equipment into Israel's blockaded Palestinian territory.

On Thursday, October 16, a senior Hamas official accused Israel of violating the ceasefire by killing 24 people in the shooting since Friday last week.

The official said the list of violations had been submitted to the mediators.

Israel says the next phase of a 20-point plan to end the war engineered by US President Donald Trump's administration - dubbed the White House as a peacemaker - calls on Hamas to give up his weapons and power, which he has so far rejected.

Hamas actually launched a security crackdown in urban areas abandoned by Israeli forces, showing off its power through public executions and clashes with local armed clans.

A total of 20 hostages who were still alive were released on Monday in exchange for thousands of Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.
