Prabowo Calls The Egyptian Peace Summit A New Beginning Of Complete Peace In Palestine
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto declared the ceasefire agreement agreed at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, the first step towards a comprehensive peace in Palestine.
"I think this is a good start, that's the point. So, we came to express support and support, the important thing is that the ceasefire is already underway, then soon the Israeli troops will be withdrawn," he said at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Tuesday, as reported by Antara.
He said many figures from various countries were present to witness the signing of the main points of approval of the ceasefire plan which would later lead to a complete peace.
"Indonesia is of course always invited to support this big process. Indeed, this is our determination as a nation," said Prabowo.
The President emphasized that Indonesia was present at the forum to express full support for efforts to make peace and stop violence in Gaza.
In addition to the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the resolution of humanitarian issues, the President said, other deals include the release of the hostages.
"Of course, according to the stages, the hostages have been removed, there are still some who may not have met their bodies," he said.

Furthermore, the Head of State said that support for Palestine is a moral and political commitment that has become part of the identity of the Indonesian nation.
"My determination is that for decades I have defended Palestine, decades since I was young, we have constantly supported the independence of Palestine, the Palestinian people," he said.
The Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, was co-led by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and United States President Donald Trump.
The meeting was attended by a number of world leaders from the Middle East, Europe, to Asia, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
In addition, heads of government from Italy, Spain, England, Greece, Hungary, Pakistan, to Canada were also present, as well as representatives of international institutions such as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, European Council President Antonio Costa, and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
