President Prabowo Arrives In Indonesia After Attending Gaza Peace Summit In Egypt

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has arrived in the country after completing his visit to attend the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

The Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 carrying President Prabowo, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Foreign Minister Sugiono landed smoothly at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base (Lanud), Jakarta, Tuesday, at around 14.30 WIB.

The arrival of the Head of State was greeted directly under the plane by a number of high-ranking state officials, including Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, and Head of the Government Communications Agency Angga Raka.

President Prabowo, who was wearing a karem safari suit and black cap, seemed to greet one by one the welcoming officials under the flight stairs.

He briefly chatted for approximately 10 minutes with officials before delivering a statement to the media crew about the results of his working visit to Egypt.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that working visits to Egypt are a manifestation of Indonesia's strong commitment to efforts to create world peace, especially in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

At the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit which was held on Monday, October 13, President Prabowo also witnessed the signing of a peace agreement and the halt to the Gaza war carried out by several main state leaders.

At the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit, President Prabowo received special praise from United States President Donald Trump for achieving the peace agreement in Gaza.

In a press conference after signing the peace document, Trump called Prabowo an "extraordinary figure" and Indonesia a great and strong country.

"Good job," Trump said while giving praise to President Prabowo.

With the end of this visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to immediately resume presidential activities in Jakarta.
