Mainland China Reports 22 New Cases Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - Mainland China reported 22 new cases of COVID-19 on May 17, down from 25 the previous day, China's national health authority said on Tuesday, May 18.
China's National Health Commission said in a statement four of the 22 new cases were local infections reported in the northeastern province of Liaoning. The rest is a case of coronavirus infection whose transmission comes from abroad.

While the number of new cases of asymptomatic COVID-19, which is not classified by China as confirmed cases, rose to 20 from 17 cases the day before.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in mainland China now stands at 90.894 while the number of deaths from coronavirus infection in the country remains unchanged, at 4.636. As reported by Antara from Reuters.
