Thanks To Wife, Husband And Four Passengers Of The Speedboat In Tanah Kuning North Kalimantan Successfully Evacuated By SAR Team

JAKARTA - Five passengers of a speedboat reported missing in the waters of Tanah Kuning, North Kalimantan were found safe by the SAR team. The SAR team moved quickly after receiving a report of a loss.

Head of Basarnas Tarakan Amiruddin said that the team moved on Saturday, May 15 at around 00:30 WITA. The incident was first reported by one of the victim's wives.

According to Amirudin, the victim called his wife at the time of the incident at about 19:00 WITA.

"Initially only reported only 2 passengers on the speedboat that died the engine. It turned out that when found there were 5 passengers", said Amiruddin reported from Antara, Saturday, May 15, evening.

The speedboat suffered engine failure in the waters of Tanah Kuning, North Kalimantan from the Berau Regency trip, East Kalimantan to Tarakan City.

The five passengers and the speedboat he was traveling were found 0.5 miles to the west of the first location where the engines were reported to have died.

The five victims who were addressed in Tarakan City were immediately evacuated to Tengkayu I Tarakan Port.
