On Donald Trump's Block, US Will Remove Xiaomi From Blacklist In Joe Biden Administration
JAKARTA - The United States Department of Defense will remove Xiaomi Corp from the government blacklist.
Based on information from court files, quoted from Reuters via Antara, Thursday, May 13, the US Government and Xiaomi agreed to complete ongoing court proceedings about tensions between them.
White House National Security Council spokeswoman, Emily Horne, said President Joe Biden's administration is deeply concerned about potential investments in the country in companies related to the Chinese military and is fully committed to putting pressure on such companies.
While a Xiaomi spokesperson stated they are monitoring the latest developments, however, did not elaborate further.

Spokesmen for the Justice Department and the US Department of Defense did not provide a statement on the case.
The US government, while still led by President Donald Trump, put Xiaomi on the blacklist for suspecting the company was affiliated with the Chinese military.
Seven other Chinese companies were also on the blacklist.
Xiaomi returned the allegations to the court, stating that the allegations were "unlawful and unconstitutional" and denied any affiliation with the Chinese military.
