Israel Warns 'Dadai Dahsyat' In Gaza If Hamas Don't Give Up

JAKARTA - Israeli authorities on Monday appealed to residents of Gaza City to leave immediately, after warning they would step up airstrikes and ground operations in the Gaza Strip in a "catastrophic storm" if Hamas did not release the last hostages he detained and surrendered.

In what he called the final warning, the Israeli military told the Palestinian militant group Gaza would be destroyed if they did not strip and release 48 hostages held hostage in the 2023 attack.

"I told the residents of Gaza: you have been warned, get out of there!" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, adding Israel in recent days had brought down 50 "terror" as the first step of the upcoming "land operations" in Gaza City.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Katz called this time a last resort, or they would destroy Gaza and Hamas.

"A powerful storm will hit the sky of Gaza City today, and the roofs of the terror tower will accompany it," Defense Minister Katz wrote on social media X.

"This is the final warning for the killers and rapists of Hamas in Gaza and in luxury hotels abroad: Free the hostages and place your weapons - or Gaza will be destroyed, and you will be killed," he added.

Separately, a senior Israeli official, proposed a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages in the latest Gaza from the United States called on Hamas to repatriate all 48 surviving hostages and those who had died on the first day of the ceasefire, where negotiations would be held to end the war.

Hamas said in a statement they were committed to freeing them all with "clear announcement of the end of the war" and the withdrawal of Israeli troops. Hamas also expressed its readiness to negotiate the latest proposals.

Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, urged Hamas political leaders to "positively respond" to the latest Gaza ceasefire deal proposed by the US in negotiations in Doha on Monday, an official briefed on the negotiations told Reuters.

"The Prime Minister of Qatar urged Hamas to respond positively to America's latest proposal, submitted through mediators, and aimed at securing a ceasefire and a deal to release hostages in Gaza," the official said.
