PKB-PDIP Rejects Nganjuk Regent Who Get Caught In KPK OTT, Whose Cadre Novi Rahman Is?

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted an OTT operation against Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat for alleged corruption (TPK) at the office auction.

"Allegedly TPK in the auction of position. We are checking the details, be patient, we expose later," said Vice Chairman of KPK Nurul Ghufron, Monday, May 10.

This news certainly made the political party supporting him as the head of the region raised the voice. However, as if not wanted, the two political parties supporting Novi, PKB-PDIP, refused that he was their cadre.

National Awakening Party (PKB) politician Luqman Hakim, denied that Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat was one of his party cadres.

He also sent a video link containing Novi Rahman Hidayat's confession about the political party he was based in.

"Together we send a video link on Youtube channel containing the direct recognition of Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat as a cadre of one of the political parties where the political party is not PKB," Luqman said in his statement, Monday, May 10.

In maduTV's video, Novi calls herself a cadre of PDIP at a PDI-P Children's Deliberation event in Nganjuk Regency on February 27 - March 2, 2021.

"I want to convey officially and actually that I am a cadre of PDI-P. I am not a cadre of other parties," Novi said as quoted from the video.

With the video evidence, Luqman requested that PKB no longer be linked in the case that befell Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat.

Luqman stated PKB respects the legal steps taken by the KPK in handling corruption cases in the country.

"We respect the legal measures taken by the KPK as a tireless effort to eradicate corruption practices in the country. Both crackdown and prevention measures," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Novi's claim was also disputed by PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat. According to him, the Regent of Nganjuk never followed the process of recruitment.

"(Nganjuk Regent, red) is not a party cadre. If the party cadre has stages, there is a minimal process he has participated in the first level cadreization, it is just a cadre. Well, he is not," Said Djarot, Monday, May 10.

Djarot admitted that Novi was supported by PDIP-PKB during the election. However, he said, his relationship is closer to the party led by Muhaimin Iskandar.

"The regent is closer to PKB, that's the progress carried PDIP-PKB. It could be in the PKB right," he said.

Djarot asserted that he did not have a membership card as a PDIP cadre.

"It doesn't look like he has. The process he never participated in cadreization. So obviously he's not our cadre," he explained.

"Indeed I got a video, he once came to the national meeting and admitting as PDIP cadres. He's only been there once. Feels like pretending. During the process of the party, he never participated. Including the Legislative election, the Presidential election, if not wrong, his brother is a cadre from the PKB, a candidate in the Legislative election, I do not know him well. I know the deputy, but with the regent, I don't know," Djarot asserted.

In addition to Novi, the KPK also established six suspects.

The six suspects are Pace Dupriono Sub-District Head, Tanjunganom Sub-District Head, Spokesperson of Sukamoro Sub-District Head Edie Srijato, and Berbek Sub-District Head Haryanto.

Then, Loceret Sub-District Head Bambang Subagio, Former Head of Sukamoro Tri Basuki Widodo and aide to the Regent of Nganjuk, M Izza Muhtadin.
