Jambi Police Arrest Robber Of IDR 750 Million In Bank Customers

The joint officers of the Jambi Regional Police and the Rejang Lebong Police, Bengkulu, arrested two residents of Rejang Lebong Regency who were suspected of being involved in the robbery case of bank customers who acted in the Jambi area.

Head of the Jambi Police Resmob Unit AKP Husni Abda accompanied by the Head of Pidum Polres Rejang Lebong Ipda Andhar Wicaksono said the two perpetrators arrested were MS (43), a resident of Merigi Permai Housing Lubuk Penyamun District, Curup Selatan District, and HA (47), a resident of Taba Tinggi Village, Padang Ulak Tanding District.

"Both of them were arrested on Monday morning, August 18, 2025 yesterday, by a joint team of Resmob Polda Jambi, Satreskrim Polres Sarolangun, and the Opsnal Team of the Pidum Unit of the Rejang Lebong Police," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 19.

He explained that the two suspects were suspected of being involved in the theft case with violent specialist bank customers or broken glass in the Jambi Province area.

One of the victims was Faisal Arnanda, a resident of Sarolangun Jambi Regency with a cash loss of Rp. 750 million.

The two suspects, he said, were arrested by a joint team without a fight so that together with evidence in the form of three motorbikes, and a four-wheeled Honda jazz vehicle and three HP units, were taken to the Rejang Lebong Police Headquarters for inspection.

The incident experienced by the victim occurred on May 7, 2025, at around 16.00 WIB.

The incident began after the victim withdrew Rp750 million at Bank BRI Sarolangun Branch. The money was stored in black plastic and placed under the front seat of the victim's car.

"At around 16.12 WIB the victim entered a counter near the Alfamart intersection, Sukasari Village. Then at around 16.21 WIB the victim went down to buy prepaid vouchers and received cash deposits from the counter owner. But when he returned to the money car, it was gone," he explained.

After this incident, the victim immediately reported to the Sarolangun Police Headquarters, and after an investigation was carried out by the Sarolangun Police Satreskrim with the Jambi Police Resmob unit being backed up and then pursuing the perpetrators, two of whom were known.

The two suspected bank robbers, he added, were arrested by a joint team with the suspect on behalf of MS on August 18, 2025 at around 02.00 WIB while crossing Babakan Baru Village, Bermani Ulu District, Rejang Lebong Regency when he had just returned from Lebong Regency.

Meanwhile, the second suspect HA was arrested on the same day, at around 13.00 WIB at his home in Tebat Village, Bermani Ulu District, Rejang Lebong Regency.

The two suspects themselves, after being questioned at the Rejang Lebong Police Headquarters, were then taken to the Sarolangun Police Headquarters, Jambi Province to undergo further investigation by the local police investigation team.
