In this review, the National Police Chief was accompanied by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, and Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
The National Police Chief said that the overall implementation of Ketupat Operation 2021 by carrying out homecoming blockage went well. He admitted that the homecoming isolation did make people uncomfortable.
"However, this is done to protect the public from contracting the new variant of COVID-19 virus," said Sigit.
According to him, the duty of the police is to maintain the security and safety of the community. For that, he asked the public to understand the policy of prohibiting homecoming so that COVID-19 cases would no longer increase.
