Good News From Khofifah: Prices Of Basic Needs In East Java Are Stable Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr 2021

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa appealed to women in the local area to remain calm because prices for basic necessities on the market are stable, including safe stocks ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1442 Hijriah.

"I along with the Mayor, Gus Ipul, have checked the price directly and the mothers can be calm because the price is relatively stable," she said after reviewing and checking the price of basic necessities at Besar Market, Pasuruan City, as quoted from Antara, Sunday, May 9.

The number one person in the East Java Provincial Government, accompanied by the Acting Secretary of East Java Provincial Secretary Heru Tjahjono along with a number of East Java OPD heads also directly asked the prices of basic necessities to traders, including some market visitors.

One of them is beef, which costs around Rp105 thousand to Rp110 thousand per kilogram in the traditional market.

On the same occasion, Governor Khofifah appreciated market managers who implemented a digitalization system to monitor the prices of basic necessities and installed at the entrance.

"The existence of a digital board that shows the prices of basic necessities in the market makes visitors feel comfortable because they already know the price. Information like this is important and very helpful," she said.

At the market location, the number one person in the East Java Provincial Government also bought a number of basic necessities, one of which was chicken and beef which were bought from several traders.

Not only that, the former Social Minister bought tempeh, vegetables, and then distributed them to market visitors.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Pasuruan, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), was grateful for the visit of Governor Khofifah to Besar Market and at the same time confirming the price of food needs ahead of Eid.

"This is an honor for the residents of Pasuruan City because the Governor is ready to visit Besar Market, then also shop here. Thank you, Mrs. Governor," said the Deputy Governor of East Java for the two periods (2009-2019).
