Three Days Of Blockage Of Homecoming Ban, 7,876 Vehicles Were Turned Around

JAKARTA - The blockage scheme on Jabodetabek roads related to the policy of prohibiting homecoming has been going on for three days. A total of 7,876 vehicles were turned back because they did not comply with the requirements.

"As many as 7,876 vehicles that we turned around, out of 18,701 vehicles that we checked for three days," said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus to VOI, Sunday, May 9.

Yusri explained that out of the thousands of vehicles that were rotated back and forth, they consisted of 4,313 motorists and 2,877 motorists. In fact, the remaining 592 passenger vehicles and 95 goods.

"All of them are based on the results of 21 isolation points and 21 checkpoint locations," said Yusri.

Furthermore, the partition which started on May 6 managed to capture several illegal travelers. In addition, 60 rapid antigen tests were also carried out during this insulation scheme.

"There are 10 illegal trips we turn back. We also conducted 60 rapid antigen tests and distributed 2,388 masks to the public," said Yusri.

For information, in the operation to ban homecoming which took place from May 6 to 17, at least 4,276 personnel were deployed. They are alerted at 21 isolation points and 21 checkpoints.
