Residents Of Kampung Bayam Complain That They Have Received The Key But Have Not Entered The House, The DKI Provincial Government Promises To Start Residential This Week
JAKARTA - Residents of the Kampung Bayam Madani Farmers Group have complained that they have not been able to occupy residential units in Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB), although the key handover ceremony was carried out several months ago.
The head of the Tani Group of Kampung Bayam Madani, Muhammad Furqon, said that until now his party is still occupying temporary housing. He said there was no certainty when they could start living in the promised housing unit.
"We are still in temporary shelter. It is not clear when to enter Kampung Susun Bayam. We were told it was still in the administrative process, but some time ago. The governor had to really go down to check," Furqon said when contacted, Monday, July 28.
Responding to this, the Assistant for Development and Environment of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretariat (Setda), Afan Adriansyah, promised that the process of signing the residential contract and the occupancy of Kampung Susun Bayam would begin in parallel on Monday and Tuesday, July 28, 2025.
"We hope that the entire process can be followed properly. Thus, the occupants are based on legal aspects," Afan told reporters in Jakarta, Monday.
According to him, after the key handover ceremony by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung some time ago, the DKI Provincial Government together with PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the KSB manager were still completing a number of administrative processes.
"The process includes the preparation of administration related to the use of land and the issuance of residential contracts, which were accompanied directly by the Assistant for Civil and State Administration (Asdatun) of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office," explained Afan.
During the process, he continued, the Kampung Bayam Farmers Group had participated in training and was involved in the construction of the urban farming project around the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
All operational expenses, ranging from training to the daily needs of farmer groups, have been financed by PT Jakpro.

"Every month, PT Jakpro pays a temporary residential electricity bill of Rp68 million so that the Farmers Group can live properly. The total costs spent reached Rp854 million, including the construction of urban farming and honorarium for training participants," said Afan.
Kampung Susun Bayam was built as part of the relocation program for residents affected by the JIS development. The residence is designed to become a community-based integrated area, including urban agriculture development by residents.
