Gigih Perangi Narkoba, Mendiang Bunda Iffet Dianugerahi Award From BNN

JAKARTA - For his services to protect the nation's children from the dangers of drug dependence, the band manager Slank the late Bunda Iffet received the Lifetime Achievement award from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

As is known, the figure of Mother Iffet has been known as 'mother' for the music group Slank. In fact, Mother Iffet's services are very large to release personnel from drug addiction.

The award was given at the 2025 International Anti-Drug Day (HANI) held by BNN in Jakarta, Thursday night. The personnel of Slank Bimo Setiawan alias Bimbim, representing the deceased, received the award.

Bimbim admitted that he was touched by the award given by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to Mother Iffet for her struggle to assist her foster children against drug bondage.

"Sad, sad. But Mother must be happy tonight. Mother gets a Lifetime Achievement Award, yes, for Mother's struggle to take care of her children," said Bimbim, quoted Friday, June 27.

Mother Iffet has become a symbol of the strength of a mother who does not give up when her children are exposed to drugs. Mother Iffet's patience in caring for the children of the Slank band to be free from drugs will be an inspiration for all mothers in Indonesia.

Bimbim said, Mother Iffet can be an inspiration for mothers in Indonesia so that there is no need to be ashamed and not to be afraid if any of her family members are exposed to drugs.

"Because drugs are like a virus, almost everyone's family has been hit," he said.

According to him, Mother Iffet is always enthusiastic about rehabilitating drug abusers. Currently, he said, even though Mother Iffet is no longer there, her spirit is still there for Slank personnel.

He said Mother Iffet had succeeded in transmitting the spirit to rise and rehabilitate, not judging her children who were caught in drugs.

"BNN is like the vaccine. Thank you BNN, Mother must be very proud," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of BNN Martinus Hukom said HANI's momentum should be a reminder to empathize with families in Indonesia who are experiencing drug cases.

"These families can be part of our extended family, our neighbors, our friends, or our loved ones," said Martinus.
