Bahlil Shows Off Exxon's Success Adds 30,000 Barrels Faster Than Target

BANYUWANGI - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia reports that ExxonMobil has succeeded in increasing oil lifting by 30,000 barrels of oil per day. This was conveyed by Bahlil to President Prabowo Subianto when inaugurating the operation and construction of EBT plants in 15 provinces and increasing production of 30,000 barrels of Banyu Urip field.

"Mr President, we also report that today we are also inaugurating the Oil Block in Cepu at 30,000 barrels per day," said Bahlil, Thursday, June 26.

Bahlil said this was in line with Prabowo's target of setting an energy self-sufficiency target in 2029 with lifting achievements of 900,000 to 1 million barrels per day.

On the same occasion Bahlil showed off that the giant oil and gas company from the United States managed to increase oil lifting by 30,000 barrels in just 8 months, or faster than the target.

"The work is only 8 months and progress 10 months faster than the plan and we have done this since the President was inaugurated 6 days we immediately came to Cepu," explained Bahlil.

With the addition of lifting of 30,000 bopd, ExxonMobil recorded a total lifting of 180,000 bopd from previously recorded at 150,000 bopd.

"In other words, 25 percent of the total national lifting," he added.

Bahlil admitted that he was confident in Exxon's lifting achievement, and the hard work of a number of Indonesian Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) would succeed in achieving the APBN target which was set at 605,000 barrels per day.

"God willing, we will be able to create it together," said Bahlil.
