PTPP Rampung Builds Bali International Hospital

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) has completed the Bali International Hospital (BIH) construction project. The first international standard hospital in Indonesia was built with a contract value of Rp998.3 billion (excluding VAT).

The inauguration of BIH was directly carried out by President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday, June 25. In his remarks, the president expressed his admiration for the presence of this sophisticated and world-class hospital.

Indonesia is a large developed country, which is dynamic, we must have the best facilities so that we can also become a center, we can accept patients around our area, Southeast Asia region, Pacific region and so on, "said Prabowo.

Located in the first and only Health Economic Zone in Indonesia, BIH is a symbol of the transformation of the national health sector towards global competitiveness. This project aims to reduce public dependence on health services abroad, while preventing the potential loss of foreign exchange, which reaches trillions of rupiah every year.

PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo explained that BIH is not only superior in terms of medical services, but also in terms of construction innovation and medical technology. This hospital, said Joko, is the first design project in Indonesia to provide complete nuclear medical services, including in vivo and teranastic diagnostics, complete nuclear medical services including PET Scan and SPEC CT, a radiofarmaka laboratory, which allows integrated detection and therapy.

In addition, there is also a LINAC (Linear Accelerator) room facility which has the True Beam type with the highest specifications in Indonesia today, where this tool is very advanced and is able to destroy tumor cells in organs that move like in the lungs or heart. In addition, facilities for superior CONGO services: Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Gastroenterohepatology, and Orthopedics are already operating in this hospital.

BIH is designed as a modern hospital with a healing resort concept, combining world-class medical services with the comfort of Bali's natural environment. In terms of civilian engineering, the project also recorded a breakthrough through the use of plate-squeezing materials, an innovative integrated solution that accelerates the implementation of development while increasing efficiency in the LINAC (Linear Accelerator) room which has a wall thickness of approximately 2.8 meters on each side.

With the completion of the construction of the Bali International Hospital, Joko added, Indonesia now has a new landmark in health services a medical facility that not only serves national needs, but is also ready to become an international health destination in the Asia Pacific region.

"The completion of the BIH hospital project has become one of the portfolios of PTPP in the construction of a hospital project that has international standards. This also indicates PTPP's commitment to national development in accordance with the Asta Cita Program, especially in the construction of hospitals throughout Indonesia," concluded Joko.
