Defendant Adhi Kismanto Promoted To Be A Komdigi Employee For Protecting Gambling Sites

JAKARTA - One of the defendants in the online gambling site (judol) Adhi Kismanto received a promotion to become an employee of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) because he could protect the site so that it is not blocked and guaranteed security.

"Adhi Kismanto is in Komdigi as an expert to find online gambling and then reported to Komdigi employees for blocking," said witness from Polda Metro Jaya, Yekus Elo Kelvin during a witness examination hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, May 21.

According to him, Adhiyang who was arrested on October 31, 2024 at Glodok Plaza admitted to working as an expert worker in Komdigi with the help of Zulkarnaen Apriliantony or Tony.

Moreover, Adhi is considered capable of securing one of the judiciary pages "Sultan Wins" so that it is not blocked, so that it can continue.

"So, Tony's brother who promotes Adhi Kismanto to be accepted in Komdigi as an expert," he said.

Based on the indictment of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) in the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP), in October 2023, Tony was asked to help Budi Arie Setiadi, who at that time served as Minister of Communication and Information.

Then, Tony was asked to find someone who could collect online gambling data (website). Then, Adhi Kismanto introduced it.

Adhi, who was immediately introduced to present a data collection tool (crawling) for online gambling sites.

Budi Arie offered Adhi to take part in the selection as an expert at the Ministry of Communication and Information. However, in the selection process, he was declared not to have passed because he did not have a bachelor's degree.

Until finally, Budi Arie paid attention so that Adhi would still be accepted to work at the Ministry of Communication and Information (now Komdigi) with the task of finding online gambling links or websites.

The indictment was read out by the public prosecutor (JPU) at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (14/5).

Budi Arie was questioned by the National Police at the Bareskrim Polri building on December 19, 2024.
