Dozens Of Palestinians Killed And Injured In Israeli Attacks On Friday Morning

JAKARTA - At least 30 civilians were killed and dozens injured in the early hours of Friday, as a result of attacks carried out by Israeli occupation forces in Beit Lahia City and the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes targeted more than 10 houses, mostly inhabited, in the camps of Beit Lahia and Jabalia.

About 30 bodies have been found so far, while dozens more are still missing under the rubble, with ambulances unable to reach the area due to road damage, quoted from WAFA May 16.

Medical sources confirmed that more than 100 civilians were killed, injured, or reported missing due to occupational airstrikes targeting houses in the camps of Beit Lahia and Jabalia.

In addition, one civilian was killed and 13 others injured after Israeli forces bombed a house in the Al-Salateen neighborhood west of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Thursday, medical sources reported 136 Palestinians killed in an ongoing Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip, including 83 in the southern region, five in the central region, 11 in Gaza City, and 37 in the northern region.

The latest conflict in the Gaza Strip broke out when a Palestinian militant group led by Hamas attacked Israel's southern region on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and another 251 being held hostage, according to Israeli calculations.

In response, Israel carried out blockades, airstrikes, and military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Both sides had a ceasefire from January 19 to March 18, as well as exchanges of hostages and detainees on both sides. Israel resumed its attack after the end of the ceasefire.

As of yesterday, the death toll of Gazans since October 2023 has reached 52,928, while 119,846 others were injured, the majority of women and children.
