Strange! LockBit Ransomware Spreader Also Experience Hacking

JAKARTA LockBit is a very popular cybercriminal group in various parts of the world. The group is spreading ransomware malware that can prevent access to user data.

Surprisingly, this large group that often attacks internet users ends up being victims. According to a post on the group's dark web site, citing from Reuters, their data has been leaked and distributed by other groups.

The post seen on LockBit's dark web reads, "Don't commit a crime. Crime is bad, xoxo is from Prague." In addition, there is a link that leads to a pile of leaked LockBit data.

For now, the attacker named Prague has not verified any data. However, one researcher told Reuters that the data was genuine and possibly contained conversations between hackers and their victims.

Christiaan Beek, Senior Director of Threat Analyst Rapid7, approved the authenticity of the leaked LockBit data. He also admitted that he was surprised by the efforts of LockBit hackers in getting money from a relatively small business.

"They attack everyone," Beek said. It's been a secret that LockBit attacks anyone, both children and adults, both ordinary people and famous people. They do it for money.

When ransomware enters the victim's device, the entire data will be locked and inaccessible to the owner. If the user forces to open the image, they will see the sign left by the hacker.

The only way that can be done to access their data again is to pay. Usually, LockBit will ask for a certain fee and will keep the data until the victim gives the ransom.
