IWIP Appreciates 476 Best Employees At The Moment Of World Labor Day
JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) gave appreciation to the 476 best employees for their dedication and contribution throughout 2024 through the IWIP Award 2025.
Held to coincide with the commemoration of World Labor Day on May 1, 2025 in the IWIP industrial area, Central Halmahera, this activity is also expected to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and strengthen harmonious industrial relations between companies and employees.
The Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoanda Laos, through the Head of the North Maluku Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans), Marwan Polori, conveyed the message that Labor Day is a momentum to respect every effort and hard work of workers in building the nation.
"Let's fight for every right and welfare without exception, whether on land, sea, air, in the office, in the market, and at home. Because every profession is valuable, every energy is meaningful," Marwan said conveying the Governor's message.
The IWIP Award 2025 event was also attended by Central Halmahera Regent Ikram M. Sangaji with Forkopimda, East Ubaid Regent Ubaid Yakub, North Maluku Head of Manpower and Transmigration Service (Kadisnakertrans) Marwan Policeri, Central Halmahera Head of Manpower and Transmigration Office Hamka Mujuddin, East Halmahera Kadisnakertrans Richard Sangaji, SPKEP SPSI Central Executive R. Abdullah, SPN Central Head of International Relations Eko Purwantoro, and FNPBI Central Secretary General Supriadi.
In his remarks, Central Halmahera Regent Ikram M. Sangaji emphasized the importance of the role of workers and trade unions in creating a healthy and productive environment. He also invited all workers to become agents of change in their respective environments, including staying away from negative behavior such as littering and consuming alcohol.
General Manager of Human Resources PT IWIP, Roslina Sangaji, explained that IWIP regularly celebrates Labor Day as a form of the company's commitment to building and strengthening positive and sustainable employment.
IWIP gave awards to 476 of the best employees from all departments, consisting of 417 men and 59 women. About 70 percent of them came from North Maluku," said Roslina.

In addition to the award, IWIP also held friendly matches between trade unions to strengthen solidarity and the spirit of sportsmanship. Roslina added that IWIP has promoted more than 10 thousand employees to a higher career level.
"We believe that the company's success is greatly determined by the quality and enthusiasm of the workers. For that, we will continue to appreciate this kind of thing," he added.
IWIP is committed to strengthening collaboration between management and employees to encourage productivity and expand the company's positive impact on regional progress, especially Central Halmahera and East Halmahera, as well as Indonesia in general.
