Kirk Hammett Reveals Reasons Will Not Leave Metallica

JAKARTA - Maintaining the existence of Metallica's caliber band with several other heads is certainly not easy. But guitarist Kirk Hammett never thought he would get out of the band.

Hammett admits that he is one of the angry people. He did not deny that he had been involved in arguments with his bandmates several times.

"I have to say, I'm really angry. And I can argue with other people. I sometimes fight with James [Hetfield] and Lars [Ulrich]," he said in an interview with the UK Telegraph, citing Blabbermouth March 24.

For him, arguing in a band is normal. In fact, he said almost everything they had made a fuss behind the scenes.

"Almost about everything. I think it's part of being a band member with someone for more than 40 years," said Kirk Hammett.

But for the guitarist who has also been a member of EXODUS, coming out of Metallica has never crossed his head. One of the reasons is because Metallica is home to him and his broken home colleagues.

"We're like a group of youths and just looking for a place to take shelter. I'm from a messy family, James comes from a messy family, Lars comes from a messy family. The most adaptable person is Cliff Burton. We're all useless people. However, we created something called METALLICA that became our shelter. It was the only thing that was constant in our lives," explained Kirk.

With the joy and experience he feels in the band, he feels Metallica is a house he will never leave.

"Beyordinating METALLICA is not an option. If one day I leave METALLICA, everyone in the world will remind me that I was a member of METALLICA," he said.
