Bank Jatim Successfully Recorded The Largest Net Profit Between BPD
JAKARTA - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) successfully recorded a positive performance throughout last year. This can be seen from the results of the Public Examination of the Performance of Financial Reports for the 2024 Fiscal Year which was held on Thursday, March 20.
Located in Jakarta, the presentation was attended by the President Director of Bank Jatim Busrul Iman, Director of Finance, Treasury & Global Services of Bank Jatim Edi Masrianto, Director of Micro, Retail, and Sharia Business of Bank Jatim R. Arief Wicaksono, and Director of Compliance of Bank Jatim Umi Rodiyah.
Busrul explained that 2024 will be a milestone for Bank Jatim in line with the implementation of the corporate action of the Bank Business Group (KUB) between Bank Jatim and Bank NTB Syariah. This KUB collaboration will create continuous synergy not only in terms of capital, but also in terms of finance and business as well as other supporting aspects in order to create new value creation between BPDs to jointly build the country.
The performance of Bank Jatim until the end of 2024 is quite positive. This financial performance is consolidation which also includes the performance of KUB members, namely Bank NTB Syariah. Until December 2024, the value of BJTM assets on a consolidated basis was IDR 118 trillion, an increase of 13.7 percent compared to the previous year.
The increase in the majority of assets came from the contribution of productive assets such as credit disbursement growth of IDR 75.3 trillion, an increase of 37.6 percent (YoY) and third party fund management of IDR 90 trillion, an increase of 15 percent (YoY).
"On the asset management, Bank Jatim in 2024 will be able to record a net income of IDR 5.7 trillion or an increase of 13.6 percent (YoY)," he explained.
Then if you look at the net profit side of Bank Jatim (bank only) throughout 2024, it has succeeded in reaching Rp1.28 trillion. This figure has succeeded in becoming the largest profit among BPD BPD throughout Indonesia.
"In the midst of macroeconomic and domestic challenges, we are grateful that Bank Jatim is still able to record the best performance among BPD peer groups, especially in obtaining net profit for banks only for the period of the 2024 financial year. This is in accordance with Bank Jatim's vision and mission to continue to grow and develop into BPD no. 1 in Indonesia, "said Busrul.
Busrul said, Bank Jatim always strives to implement balance in achieving business and wider benefits to all stakeholders. This is a deliverable Bank Jatim item in the form of value beyond profit in order to support sustainable finance. This can be seen from the line of business,
Bank Jatim has provided environmentally friendly loans to several sectors. These include energy efficiency of IDR 2.40 trillion, management of biological natural resources and sustainable land use of IDR 2.01 trillion, water management and sustainable waste of IDR 557 billion, and many more.
In addition, in 2024 Bank Jatim will also be active in distributing CSR in several fields. Such as CSR for education, which has been disbursed amounting to Rp2.76 billion, the health sector amounting to Rp3.93 billion, and other social activities amounting to Rp10.24 billion.
"We believe that in 2025, Bank Jatim's business opportunity to grow is quite large. This can be seen from the business capacity of Bank Jatim in 2025 which will be increased in an inorganic manner through the synergy of KUB with other BPDs. Where in 2024, Bank Jatim has synergized with Bank NTB Syariah and in 2025 it will be continued with 4 other BPDs that have signed Share Holder Agreement (SHA)," said Busrul.
In addition, with the enactment of the 2024-2027 BPD roadmap, it will provide opportunities for Bank Jatim to become an anchor/strategic partner from BPR/BPRRS to synergize from the business side, governance or other things. Of course, this makes Bank Jatim have a bigger positioning in controlling the market share.
Then from all the utilities of using Bank Jatim's digital services, namely JConnect, also did not escape improvement. Busrul said, in order to optimize banking services for areas that have great business potential, Bank Jatim also maximized services through the East Java Agent. In addition to the utility of banking transactions, the East Java Agent was able to contribute to the growth in lending, especially through a referral method with a total agent of 12,822 agents.
On this occasion, R. Arief Wicaksono also said that Bank Jatim itself in 2024 was able to record credit growth of 16.98 percent (YoY). This figure succeeded in exceeding the national average growth of only 10.39 percent (YoY) according to the OJK. The composition of this slick performance consists of a consortive credit portfolio of IDR 34.41 trillion, an increase of 10.26 percent (YoY) and a productive credit portfolio of IDR 29.65 trillion, an increase of 25.88 percent (YoY).

Meanwhile, in facing 2025 with the challenges and potential opportunities, the management of Bank Jatim has set performance guidance in 2025. Assets and DPK are targeted to be able to grow 2-3 percent. Then credit is targeted to grow 14-16 percent to continue credit growth in 2024.
Management will continue to strive to maintain ideal and quality productive assets and with sufficient reserves in line with exponential credit growth and ensure that all potential risks that may occur are still in line with the risk appetite. Not only that, but Bank Jatim will also continue corporate strategic plans that have a linear and inorganic business impact such as KUB, BPR consolidation, and other corporate actions.
