Veddriq Leonardo Remains Routine Exercises During Ramadan
JAKARTA Rock climbing athlete Veddriq Leonardo continues to regularly undergo training during Ramadan in preparation for several important events after Eid al-Fitr later.
The gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics said that there was a change in the practice cycle during the fasting month. Usually the morning training schedule is moved to the afternoon and evening.
"My power continues and training continues," said Veddriq when met in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Veddriq plans to appear at the IFSC World Cup Wujiang 2025 event in China, April 25-27, 2025. It is the first rock climbing World Cup event that will be attended by Indonesia.
The athlete from Pontianak said that during the fasting month, the intake of rock climbing athletes was still provided as usual.

"If you finish training, eat normally as usual, which must be sahur, also open as usual. The portion of training is a bit different from normal days," he said.
Veddriq plans to take a break from training during Lebaran to gather with his family in his hometown. Moreover, he has not been with his relatives for four years.
Veddriq said that Lebaran is the most appropriate momentum to stay in touch with those closest to you and can especially enjoy home cooking.
"So, one thing that will be missed is the cooking first. Rendang, opor, then there is the Lebaran cake specifically, called a sandwich," he said.
After coming from China, Veddriq and his friends will appear in Indonesia. The reason is, Bali was chosen to host the World Cup series which will take place on May 3-4, 2025.
