Fragments Of KRI Nanggala-402 Components Found, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy: This Is Caused By Cracks, Not Explosions
JAKARTA - A number of fragments of the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine was found. The National Army (TNI) confirmed that what happened was a crack in the submarine, not an explosion.
“A rift, not an explosion. If the explosion would have all disappeared, due to gradual cracking in certain parts, when he (KRI Nanggala-402) descended, there were phases starting from a depth of 300-500. There are phases of cracks because if there was an explosion, it will definitely be heard, it is not an explosion but rather a crack", said KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono in a press conference on Saturday, April 24.
The finding of the components due to these cracks is called KSAL because of the pressure.
“Some of the last items (at the location) of the dive boat were found which are believed to be parts or components of the submarine. It will not be lifted outside if there is no pressure", he continued.

"The orange bottle is the lubricant for the submarine next to the base used by KRI Nanggala for prayers", continued KSAL.
