JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo through the Subholding of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) which manages non-sustainable terminals throughout Indonesia, affirms its commitment to maintaining smooth operation and service during the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H.

"The company ensures that loading and unloading activities and other terminal services continue to run optimally, during the Ramadan period in all operational areas," said Vice President of Corporate Communications for Pelindo Multi Terminal, Farid Chairamawan in Makassar, South Sulawesi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 6.

He stated that as many as 31 branches and 6 terminals of vehicles were managed through Pelindo Multi Terminal and its subsidiaries.

"The month of Ramadan is an important period for Muslims, especially for the people of Indonesia, and we understand that the smooth distribution of logistics is very crucial, especially for basic commodities," he said.

As a proactive step to support operational smoothness during Ramadan, the Company has increased operational preparedness at all managed non-packaging terminals, including work schedule arrangements.

In line, Pelindo Multi Terminal also continues to optimize loading and unloading services, and delivery of goods to minimize waiting times and ensure smooth flow of goods.
