The Minister Of Trade Ensures That The Circulating Oil Is In Accordance With The Takaran

JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso ensured that cooking oil packaged by the people or Oilita that was not in accordance with the dose was no longer in the market.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Trade when responding to videos circulating in cyberspace, related to the 1 liter packaged oilita which was only filled with 750 milliliters.

"It has been followed up. Actually, we have (visited) the producer, who used to build up the goods. So maybe it's an old video, but we have also reported it to the police," said the Trade Minister, in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 5.

Budi said the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) had sealed PT Navyta Nabati Indonesia (NNI) for alleged violations related to the distribution of people's cooking oil or Oilita, in Tangerang, Banten, Friday, January 24.

Based on the results of supervision carried out by the food task force (task force), the company has expired for the Certification of Products for the Use of the Indonesian National Standard Sign (SPPT SNI), but still produces Oilita.

Furthermore, the company is also suspected of falsifying the distribution permit recommendation letter as if it were issued by the Ministry of Trade.

The results of this exposure were found as many as 7,800 bottles of Oilita and 275 boxes of Oilita, with one box containing 12 bottles of oil measuring 1 liter.

For these violations, this company will temporarily revoke its business license and be sealed. However, if found to still carry out similar operations, it will be subject to punishment in accordance with applicable regulations.

Budi emphasized that the viral video was an old finding and the packaging was no longer circulating in the market.

"The other one is confirmed. That one is no longer circulating," he also said.
