Marquez Enters Nomine Laureus Comeback Of The Year
JAKARTA The six-time MotoGP world champion, Marc Marquez, is included in the Laureus Comeback of the Year award nominee list.
Launching the MotoGP site, Marquez was placed on the list thanks to his return journey to the top with three wins in the 2024 racing season.
The career journey of the Spaniard has been like a rollerster since he had an accident which left him seriously injured in 2020. This problem made his ambition to dominate MotoGP again hampered.
However, after undergoing the fourth operation and leaving Honda to join Ducati Gresini, Marquez also managed to return to winning ways in MotoGP.
The trip made Marquez also included in the nominee list. He will compete with Rebeca Andrade, Brazilian gymnastics athlete; Caeleb Dressel, American swimmer; Lara Gut-Behrami, Swiss skiing alpine athlete; Indian cricket athlete, Rishabh Pant; and Ariarne Titmus, Australian swimmer.

After last year's impressive comeback, Marquez then moved to the Ducati Lenovo Team manufacturer to join the world champion twice, Francesco Bagnaia.
As a result, he won the opening Grand Prix for the first time since 2014 and led the standings for the first time since Valencia 2019.
Two victories in Thailand last weekend made the 32-year-old sit comfortably at the top of the standings with a collection of 37 points.
He outperformed his younger brother, Alex Marquez, who filled second place with 29 points and his teammate Bagnaia in third place with 23 points.
