Minister Of Trade Budi Santoso Ensures Floods Do Not Affect The Distribution Of Basic Materials
Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said flooding in a number of places would not affect the distribution of basic necessities in the regions, including broiler.
It is considered that the high rainfall that is occurring in several areas in Jabodetabek is not an obstacle in the distribution of basic necessities.
"There is no problem," said Budi in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 4.
On the same occasion, Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi said broiler was already in stock in traditional and modern markets.
The chickens, continued Arief, are supplied in the form of frozen meat or frozen meat, so that they will not affect the price of chickens in the market.
"So if it's specifically for chickens, there are lots of frozen conditions in stock. So if the frozen condition means it's already in storage, just distribute it," said Arief.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas ensured that the stock of broiler and eggs was safe during Ramadan and Eid.
Zulhas said the government had agreed to keep prices for the two commodities by increasing supplies in traditional and modern markets.

"We agree that together we maintain the supply, during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid, the supply must be overestimated, increased. If on average one day for example how much, X (number) yes, then during the fasting month it is added, X plus more, the supply is overestimated," Zulhas said at a press conference at the Ministry of Trade office, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Zulhas said that in order to meet supply in the markets, producers were asked to increase production by 20 percent.
According to him, every fasting month and Eid, demand for broiler and eggs automatically increases, so that production will also increase.
