KITB Presents Competitive Natural Gas To Support Industry, Encourage Investment And Economic Growth
JAKARTA - The Batang Integrated Industrial Zone (KITB) continues to show its commitment to providing a competitive and global competitive investment ecosystem.
As part of efforts to support the growth of strategic industries, KITB ensures the availability of volume and competitive natural gas prices for tenants, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 76.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2025.
Two industrial tenants at KITB, namely PT KCC Glass Indonesia and PT Rumah Keramik Indonesia, have obtained access to natural gas with the volume and price set by the government. PT KCC Glass Indonesia, Southeast Asia's largest glass industry originating from South Korea and operating on 46 hectares of land in KITB, received an allocation of 8,000 BBTUD at a price of 6 usd/MMBTU.
Meanwhile, PT Rumah Keramik Indonesia, which focuses on producing high-quality ceramic raw materials, has received an allocation of 1,350 BBTUD at a price of 7 usd/MMBTU.
The President Director of KITB, Ngurah Wirawan, said that this efficient energy infrastructure support is a crucial factor in attracting investment and accelerating business transformation in the region.
"KITB is here as a center for new economic growth that supports export-oriented and high-tech industries. The provision of natural gas at competitive prices is a tangible manifestation of the government's support in encouraging investment and strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry," he said, in a written statement, Monday, February 3.
