The Fifth Round Of The FA Cup Will Present A Ramadan Break For Muslim Players
JAKARTA - The FA Cup Fifth Round Match which takes place this weekend will have a gap in the middle of the match to give Muslim players the opportunity to break their fast in the month of Ramadan.
This holy celebration, which will last until March 2025, makes Muslims around the world not eat or drink during the day.
"Players who fast will be allowed to pause in matches to break the fast," the English Football Association (FA) said in a FA Cup Fifth Round fact sheet.
"The estimated time will be agreed when the break will take place. This pause will not be used as the team's drinking time or tactical rest time."

There are still seven remaining matches that will take place throughout Saturday, March 1, 2025, until Monday, March 3, 2025, early morning WIB.
A total of 11 Premier League teams managed to make their way to the fifth round of the 2024/2025 FA Cup, while the remaining five came from the Championships or the England second level league.
