Marc Marquez Takes Over FP1 MotoGP Thailand 2025
JAKARTA Six-time world champion Marc Marquez managed to get out as the fastest in the first free practice (FP1) of the 2025 MotoGP opening race which took place in Thailand.
The session took place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand. Marquez managed to finish with the best time of 1 minute 29.423 seconds.
Marquez, who made his debut as a Ducati Lenovo Team manufacturer, is far ahead of teammate Francesco Bagnaia.
Bagnaia, who has won the world title twice, has to settle for 10th place. He even went four times wide throughout his first free practice so that he failed to improve his time record.

The driver, Franco Morbidelli, was able to display promising performance. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team racer secured the second position with a time gap of +0.158 seconds from Marquez.
The third position is occupied by Fabio Quartararo who brought Monster Energy Yamaha. The French racer managed to clear the top three with a time difference of +0.342 seconds.
Jack Miller also managed to show slick performance. He made his debut with Prima Pramac Yamaha by getting the results of finishing fourth.
Then the fifth position was secured by Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia. He managed to put up a fight after defending champion Jorge Martin was absent because he was still recovering.
