Germany Open 2025: Only Two Indonesian Representatives In The Quarter Finals

JAKARTA Indonesia only has two representatives who managed to secure tickets to the German Open 2025 quarter-finals. Both of them came from mixed doubles numbers.

The series of matches in the second round or round of 16 from the Super 300 BWF level event was completed on Thursday, February 27, 2025, WIB night.

The first ticket was secured by the couple Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu. They qualified after winning two games 21-10 and 21-17 against Ashith Surya/Amrutha Pramuthesh from India.

Jafar/Felisha have so far not conceded a single game from two matches. Previously in the first half, they also won two games against the first seed, Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund.

" me and Jafar always agree that whoever the opponent is, we must be brave. Yesterday the first seeded opponent, but in terms of quality we know we are balanced. So, there is no fear," said Felisha.

Jafar/Felisha then got against the Dutch and Danish gado-gado pair, Robin Tableting/Alexandra Boje, who repatriated China Taipei's representative, Nicole Gonzales Chan/Hong Wei Ye.

Another Indonesian ticket was secured by the Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja pair after beating Denmark's fourth seed, Mads Vestergaard/Christine Busch.

Rehan/Gloria must return to meet the superior pair in the quarter-finals later. This time they met sixth seed from China, namely the pair Zhu Yi Jun/Zhang Chi.

Unfortunately, the second trip of the mixed doubles could not be followed by the men's singles, Alwi Farhan and the seventh seeded women's doubles pair, Rachellessya Rose/Maya Trias Puspitasari.

The quarter-finals will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025. The match will start at 15.00 local time or 21.00 WIB.

Jafar/Felisha will play in the first match of Field 2, while Rehan/Gloria play in the second party of Field 1.
