A Total Of 24 Women's Basketball Players Called For Training Camps

The Central Representative Council (DPP) of the Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) summoned as many as 24 women's basketball players from the Indonesian Basketball National Team to undergo a training camp.

The activity is part of preparations for the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025 Division A and the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand which will take place in December 2025.

The preparations include matches against the Singapore National Team which will be held in three consecutive days from 27 February 2025 to 1 March 2025 in Surabaya, East Java.

These three matches will take place at Cita Hati School East, Pakuwon City. The matches will start on 27 and 28 February 2025 starting at 17.30 WIB, while March 1, 2025 starts at 19.00 WIB.

Assistant Coach for the Women's Basketball National Team, Andrie Ekayana, said that the trial could be held because of an invitation from Singapore. So, it happened to test the development of the Indonesian Women's National Team.

"There is no specific target. We want to provide an opportunity for all players to perform, especially new players who have just joined the Indonesian national team," said Andrie in a statement received.

The list of players in the river training camp was mostly filled by players who succeeded in making history by winning a gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games which took place in Cambodia.

The names on the training camp list are Nur Indah Qur'ani (YMS Bogor), Diva Intan Nurfadillah (GMC Cirebon), Erinindita Prias Madafa (Sahabat Semarang), Erlita Christiana (Surabaya Fever), and Melisa Erika Saleh (CLS Surabaya).

Then there are also Thasya Hery Saputera (Surabaya Fever), Ivana Ardelia (East Java), Natasya Amelia Putri (Surabaya Fever), Byrlia Sheron Tumanduk (North Sulawesi), and naturalized player Kimberley Pierre-Louis.

The names will compete for the core position with several names that have become subscribed to filling the Indonesian Women's Basketball National Team squad.
