PLN Gives Discounts Adding 50 Percent + 50 Percent Power, Here's The Explanation

PT PLN (Persero) has again presented an attractive promo in the form of a 50 percent increase in power discount for all customers in all tariff groups and an additional 50 percent discount specifically for house of worship customers through the "Menyat Ramadan 2025" program.

PLN's Director of Retail and Commerce, Edi Srimulyanti, explained that to get this promo, customers only need to make one transaction of purchasing tokens or payment of electricity bills via the PLN Mobile application.

"Restrictions can enjoy promos that take effect from February 22, 2025 to March 1, 2025," he said, Tuesday, February 25.

He continued, this promo is intended for low-voltage customers of all tariff groups 1 fasa ranging from 450 volt ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA and 3 phases from 6,600 VA to 13,200 VA.

Edi added that this program is the company's step in supporting various community activities, especially in carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan this time.

"When Ramadan needs electricity, people tend to increase. We hope this program can help people meet electricity needs at a more affordable cost, so that people can also worship in peace and maximum in the month of Ramadan," explained Edi.

The promo Welcoming Ramadan 2025 only applies to PLN customers who have been registered before January 31, 2025. After making a token purchase transaction (prepaid) or payment of electricity bills (postpaid) through PLN Mobile, customers will automatically get an added power e-voucher in the 'Reward' menu of the application and also through registered emails.

Furthermore, customers can apply for additional power through PLN Mobile, counter or PLN service office by utilizing the e-voucher.

"This program is a form of appreciation and opportunity for customers to experience using electricity that is more comfortable in the month of Ramadan," said Edi.

For example, for low-voltage customers with a power of 1,300 VA who want to increase their power to 4,400 VA, the normal price is IDR 3,003,900. Through the program to Welcome Ramadan 2025, customers are only charged IDR 1,501,950, even for houses of worship with the same power and addition, it is enough to pay IDR 750,975.
