The Ministry Of Public Works Efforts To Discount 20 Percent Of Toll Tariffs During The 2025 Eid Homecoming

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is coordinating regarding the implementation of a 20 percent toll tariff discount during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025.

This was done to support President Prabowo Subianto's direction regarding a number of policy stimulus ahead of Lebaran 2025, one of which was the provision of toll tariff discounts.

In this regard, the Expert Staff of the Minister of Public Works for Inter-Institutional Relations, Triono Junoasmono or often called Yongki, said that he would increase the functional opening of several toll roads and coordinate regarding the 20 percent toll rate discount, some of which had been confirmed.

"Until now, it has been confirmed that the toll tariff discount is applied to 17 toll roads consisting of 10 sections in Java and 7 segments in Sumatra," Yongki said as quoted from his official statement, Tuesday, February 25.

The 17 toll roads that have confirmed the implementation of toll tariff discounts during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are Tangerang Merak, Jakarta 'Cikampek, MBZ, Cikampek' Palimanan and Palimanan' Kanci.

Next, Kanci Pejagan, Pejagan Pemalang, Pemalang, Batang, Batang Semarang and Semarang ABC.

Meanwhile, toll roads on the island of Sumatra will apply toll tariff discounts including, Indrapura 'Kisaran, Kuala Tanjung' Tebing Tinggi' Parapat Segment Tebing Tinggi' Sinaksak, Pekanbaru'Dumai and Indralaya' Prabumulih.

Then, Kayuagung 'Palembang, Terbanggi Besar 'Pematang Panggang' Kayuagung and Bakauheni' Terbanggi Besar.

The proposal for a toll tariff discount will be carried out on Monday-Tuesday or March 24-25, 2025 for the 17 sections. Then, additional time on 26-27 March 2025 for 5 toll roads managed by PT Jasa Marga during the homecoming flow. As well as on Tuesday-Wednesday or 8-9 April 2025 for backflow.

Even so, Yongki explained, the period of discounting toll rates is still tentatively awaiting the official determination of the flexible working arrangement policy period from the government.

In addition, said Yongki, the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, has also instructed Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) to ensure Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for Toll Roads. In addition, BUJT is also asked to improve services in rest areas.

For the safety of national roads during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, the Ministry of Public Works revealed that the percentage of 41,604.34 kilometers of national roads throughout Indonesia reached 95.22 percent.
