PSSI Targets To Build Mini Stadium At IKN With A Capacity Of 5,000 Spectators

PSSI targets the construction of a mini stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

The construction, according to PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, will be carried out after the first phase of the PSSI Training Center (TC) construction in IKN has been completed. For the second stage, he wants the IKN to have a mini stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators.

"For the construction of the PSSI Training Center, it is already in phase one. Now we are entering the second stage, where we want an acceleration of the construction of a mini stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators," said Erick Thohir.

Erick said PSSI and IKN had reached an agreement to build a mini stadium.

"Well, coincidentally, between PSSI and the Head of IKN there is an agreement where there is land available and it is possible that there will be construction for the mini stadium that we hope for," he said.

The first phase of the construction of the PSSI TC in IKN has been completed. The first phase of development has three soccer fields, namely natural fields with Zoysia Mattrela grass, fields with synthetic grass, as well as O fields and four houses (domitory).

Of these three fields, they are also ready to be used for training at night because the three fields have an lighting of around 800 lux.

"Thank you for the collaboration and support of all stakeholders from FIFA and the government for making the construction of the PSSI Training Center phase one at IKN run smoothly," said Erick.
