Sambut Danantara, Deputy Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Calls It Can Finance Strategic Programs

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung positively welcomed the inauguration of the Anagata Nusantara Resources Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara). Yuliot assessed that the presence of this investment management institution could finance national strategic projects.

"So with the power of 900 billion, we will be able to accelerate the financing for strategic projects and national priorities," said Yuliot in a Working Meeting with Committee II of the DPD RI, Monday, February 24.

Yuliot added that one of the strategic programs that could be financed was the downstream program which was also supported by the formation of the Task Force for the Acceleration of National Energy Downstreaming and Resilience, which was formed based on Article 3 of Presidential Decree Number 1 of 2025.

Prabowo said that Danantara Indonesia will focus on targeting 20 national projects that have a high impact or high impact.

Prabowo said the initial funding or or initial funding of Danantara Indonesia is projected to reach 20 billion US dollars or around Rp. 327 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 16,350 per US dollar).

Prabowo said that of the 20 projects, there were a number of priorities. For example, downstream nickel, bauxite, copper to the construction of an artificial intelligence (AI) data center.

Then, continued Prabowo, Danantara will also prioritize oil refinery projects, petrochemical factories, food and protein production, aquaculture, and new and renewable energy (EBT).

"These are the sectors that will determine our future, our resilience, and the independence of our nation," he said.
