Permanent Coalition Depends On Prabowo's Relationship With Jokowi And KIM

JAKARTA UIN political observer Walisongo Semarang, Kholidul Adib said the formation and existence of a permanent coalition initiated by President Prabowo Subianto was very dependent on the political dynamics that occurred until 2029.

"Depending on the dynamics, such a coalition could have disbanded in the middle of the road because Prabowo failed to fulfill the political interests of all KIM members. But if Prabowo is able to formulate the power of KIM by maintaining the interests of each KIM party, I think it is very possible that KIM will survive until 2029," he said, Sunday, February 23, 2025.

In addition, the formation and existence of a permanent coalition will also depend on the relationship between Prabowo and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi). because, harmonious relations both increase the chances of forming a large permanent coalition.

Kholidul gave an example of how Prabowo was still the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, who in fact was close to Jokowi, remained in his position despite the issue of scarcity and a ban on the sale of three kilograms of LPG gas at the retail level.

Because, in his current view, the 2029 presidential election is likely to be followed by three axes, namely the KIM axis, the PDI-P axis, and the PKS and NasDem axes.

"For PKB, I am sure that I will stay in KIM. Because Prabowo was able to guarantee Muhaimin's leadership to be safe and not be shaken by the MLB Lukman Edi camp and friends who were supported by PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf," added Kholidul.
