Minister Of PKP Ara: Government Commits To Improve Standard Quality Of Subsidized Houses

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait stated that the government is committed to improving the quality standards of subsidized houses so that people can live in a comfortable and habitable environment.

"Many of us found good developers (in building housing)," he said during a working visit to subsidized housing/FLPP (housing financing liquidity facility) in Vinewood City, Bekasi, West Java, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 22.

Ara, her nickname, visited a project developed by PT Leburre Baghraf Indonesia under the auspices of the National Apernas Jaya Association with the aim of ensuring subsidy housing provided to low-income people (MBR).

During the review, he assessed that the quality of the house in FLPP Vinewood City Housing was quite good.

The good quality of the housing includes the high ceiling of the house providing better air circulation, thus creating comfortable housing for the community.

The availability of infrastructure, facilities, and utilities (PSU) in the housing environment is also considered in good condition because it supports the lives of residents optimally.

"Please pray. Hopefully this year we can try to increase the FLPP quota," said Ara.

Previously, Ara asked subsidized house developers who took advantage of FLPP's home ownership loans (KPR) to be ready to be audited by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). This is because in the distribution of the FLPP mortgage, the government uses state revenue and expenditure budget funds (APBN) derived from public taxes, so it must be ready to be audited.

Synergy between the Ministry of PKP and BPK is expected to produce concrete recommendations in improving policies and supervising subsidized housing projects.
