Minister Of Health Budi Gunadi Lays The First Stone At Tana Tidung Hospital

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin laid the first stone for the construction of the new Akhmad Berahim Hospital Tideng Pale, Tana Tidung Regency, North Kalimantan, Friday, February 21.

"This hospital will also immediately advance from type D to type C through President Prabowo Subianto's Fast Best Result Program (PHTC)," he said in a statement from Tana Tidung Regency Government received in Tanjung Selor, Bulungan Regency, Kaltara, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 22.

Before laying the first stone, he reviewed the condition of the hospital, including the human resources (HR) in that place.

Considering that the number of hospital health workers is still minimal, he advised the Tana Tidung Regency Government to increase the number of specialist doctors so that the medical devices to be held can be used optimally.

He asked specialist doctors recruited from local sons and daughters, so that after completing their education, they can return and serve in their hometowns.

"If possible, the doctor is from the sons and daughters of the region, so after that he doesn't run away to Jakarta or to Java," he said.

The Ministry of Health has prepared a scholarship program for prospective specialist doctors. This opportunity is wide open for local sons.

"We have a health program to prepare scholarships and the Ministry of Health opens the widest opportunity for local sons so that they can return to their area," he said.

Minister of Health Budi asked the Tana Tidung Regency Government to actively look for potential, young, and enthusiastic scholarship recipients.

Given that the construction of a hospital still takes about 1.5 years, he asked for the educational process for prospective specialist doctors to start now.

He also ensured that the procurement of medical devices was carried out in stages. However, the delivery of equipment can only be done after the hospital building is completed.

"The incoming partnership at the beginning of next year because the procurement has also started now, we can only send it when the building is finished," he said.

In addition to reminding the improvement of hospital services, Minister of Health Budi also appealed to the public to maintain health by conducting routine checks at the puskesmas.
