Minister Of PKP Ara: Developer Audit Country So That MBR Can Get A Quality Home
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait emphasized that the state through the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will audit developers so that low-income people (MBR) can get quality houses after government standards.
"So what is the goal? Not a country that wants to be good (but) to protect in the future people who are MBR or low-income people can get their homes from quality responsible developers," said the Minister of PKP during a coordination meeting with a number of developers in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 22.
According to him, it is important to conduct an audit by state institutions that are authorized so that developers can pay attention to quality in all aspects that have become their responsibility.
"The pay people are the same, if you can get a good developer, happy life. But if you get a developer who is not right, cry for him. Then what is the solution? Yes, audited," he said.
During the meeting, the Minister of PKP then asked directly to housing developers from various associations, whether anyone was afraid if an audit was carried out or not.
The developers who attended the meeting also answered compactly that they were not afraid if an audit was carried out by the BPK.
Not only asking, the Minister of PKP even asked developers who are ready to be audited to also stand up. He also asked the media crew present to highlight the developer if anyone did not stand up from his chair.
"I ask those who are ready and brave and support the state's agenda to be audited and not afraid to be audited to stand up. It's okay for you (media) to highlight who doesn't dare. Just highlight one by one. Here the point is that there are only the same developers from the ministry," he said.
However, it seems that no one is sitting, everyone is seen standing following the direction of the Minister of PKP. Then he repeated the same hang question, namely whether they are ready to be audited. The developers were quick to answer ready.
"When is the audit? The BPK determines it, that is not our authority. We have written to the BPK. BPK is an independent institution or under the government. BPK must be respected, that is state life," said the Minister of PKP.
However, at the meeting, the Minister of the KPK also emphasized that if there were developers who did not agree to be audited by the BPK, then his party invited it. However, for him it is a form of resistance to the government and the state.
"If you don't agree with the audit, then you think about what your friends mean. What do you want to fight the country? Go ahead. Want to fight the government? Just try it. Don't take it responsibility if you want to fight the government. Don't take it against it, it's a hassle. This is the state's agenda," said the Minister of PKP.
The Minister of PKP emphasized this because he claimed to have found a number of housing that was built with no quality. There are at least 14 developers who have now been reported to the BPK.

"I assigned eight people with me to the field to find quite a lot of things that were not in accordance with the rules," said the Minister of PKP.
Nevertheless, the Minister of PKP believes that this is the doing of a handful of irresponsible individuals.
He believes that there are still many developers who build houses and facilities in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
"I don't think there are many people who don't have quality, only a handful. I'm sure much more is right. I believe that more friends are responsible, more are professionals. Don't because of the actions of a handful of people, everything will be damaged," said Maruarar.
