Minister Of PKP: Demolition Of Pagar At PIK 1 So That There Is No Exclusive Housing
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait immediately demolished the fence separating Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 1 housing and the residents of Kapuk Muara, so that there are no exclusive housing complexes.
Ara, as he is familiarly called, said that he had visited the location of the route through Row 47 which should be an access for local residents to the elite housing area on Thursday, February 20.
"Some residents are demanding that this (market) be opened, so that there is access from residents to PIK 1. I say nothing should be exclusive in this country," said Ara when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday.
Ara mengatakan bahwa Pemerintah Provinsi DKI sudah membuat rencana detail tata ruangan, yang nantinya akan membuat jalan dengan melakukan pembebasan lahan.
When the fence on the road through Row 47 is opened, access is only given to small vehicles, such as cars, motorbikes, bicycles, and pedestrians. However, large industrial trucks and vehicles will not be allowed to pass.
In addition to the fence that closed access, Ara also found a pile of rocks as high as two meters that hindered the rate of water during the rain, so that floods often occur.
"I have asked the North Jakarta Police Chief to check who put this stone. What is the goal? Because the consequences are clearly causing flooding. So, everything must be studied in the state of law. And I ask to be legally resolved," said Ara.
Ara added that the demolition of the fence covering access for residents was a directive from President Prabowo Subianto who emphasized that there were no exclusive housing.

The polemic of the PIK 1 fence began when the Muara Kapuk Resident Forum held a demonstration demanding PT Mandara Permai to open the access road through Row 47.
Hundreds of residents demanded that PT Mandara Permai open access roads through Kapuk Muara to PIK which have been closed since 2015.
According to residents, since that year there has been a governor's decree stating that the road must be opened, but never heeded.
