Pertamina Aims For 416,000 BOPD Oil Production In 2025

"Pertamina plays an important role because we manage 69 percent of national oil production and 37 percent of national gas from 24 blocks that are on average already mature," said Pertamina Deputy President Director Wiko Migantoro in a Hearing Meeting with Commission XII DPR RI, Thursday, February 20.

Wiko added that his strategic work program that will be run throughout 2025 is by managing the baseline by managing the smallest possible nature decline.

Not only that, continued Wiko, Pertamina will also increase production through infill activities and the development of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).

"Currently, our EOR has contributed 4,000 BOPDs and we have launched several chemical EOR activities in some of our fields," explained Wiko.

Not only that, but Wiko also revealed that Pertamina will maintain and increase upstream oil and gas reserves in order to maximize production activities and the potential of upstream Indonesian oil and gas.

Wiko further added, in terms of refineries, Pertamina targets to produce 334 million barrels of products compared to the previous year which was recorded at 323 million, an increase of 3 percent.

"Several strategic activities such as the Dumai platform upgrading, the Balongan Refinery RDMP, the Balikpapan RDMP are being carried out," said Wiko.
