Budget Added IDR 4.14 Trillion, Minister Of Transportation Guarantees Continued Transportation Subsidies In 2025
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) received an additional budget for 2025 through reconstruction of IDR 4.14 trillion. With this addition, the Ministry of Transportation's budget ceiling in 2025 will be IDR 17.72 trillion.
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said the additional budget had been approved by the Ministry of Finance based on the Letter of the Minister of Finance Number S-57/MK.02/2025 dated February 13.
"Based on the last letter we received from the Minister of Finance, the Ministry of Transportation's budget ceiling was IDR 17.72 trillion. Initially the budget ceiling was IDR 13.58 trillion. Approximately we received an additional IDR 4.14 trillion," he said in a meeting with Commission V DPR, quoted Friday, February 14.
With this additional budget, Dudy ensured that public services such as public service obligation (PSO) and transportation subsidies, the free homecoming program would continue.
"For subsidy services, PSO, God willing, we can carry out free homecoming and so can employees, God willing, not be disturbed," he said.
Based on Dudy's exposure data, the budget of Rp. 17.725 trillion will be used by 9 units of echelon I organizations under the auspices of the Ministry of Transportation.
In detail, for the Secretariat General amounting to Rp464.09 billion, the Inspectorate General is Rp85.48 billion, the Directorate General of Land Transportation is Rp3.14 trillion, and the Directorate General of Sea Transportation is Rp7.32 trillion.

Then, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Rp3.39 trillion, the Directorate General of Railways Rp1.31 trillion, the Transportation Policy Agency Rp71.01 billion, BPSDMP Rp1.82 trillion, and BPTJ Rp108.95 billion.
The total budget experienced budget efficiency of 43.66 percent or Rp13.72 trillion when compared to the initial ceiling of the Ministry of Transportation which amounted to Rp31.45 trillion, based on the Letter of the Minister of Finance dated September 23, 2024.
